BinToo GNU/Linux

BinToo is a Gentoo based and 100% compatible and pre-built Distribution that has many aims ranges from Technology to social and personal aims, for example:

- Enhance The Portage Performance and add some features to it .
- Port or Build a good suite of administration tools for Gentoo and Linux in general.
- Make it easy for any one to Get-started with gentoo .

i'd like to share the knowledge and the files and settings i use to build BinToo with every body so if you want to build your own gentoo you can use them to get ride of the problems associated with USE flags and make.conf settings.

first extract the stage3 file to new formatted partition and the portage tree like this:
cd /new/part
tar -jxpf stage3-file.tar.bz2

Hi group,

I have been trying to install to install BinToo 2007.3 after
failing with Gentoo 2006.0 and 2007.1.
I noticed several problems with the install:
1) the install login header reference 2007.1 and not 2007.3
2) The install always formats the target, should be an option.
3) The install failed on a full install with a kernel page exception

Why gentoo needs an official up-to-date GRP project?

there are many reasons to have a gentoo official and up-to-date GRP project, most important reasons are:

- Heavy testing of the common needed ebuilds and portage itself.
- Give the average user the choice to get ride of the Dependencies and USE flags hell .

BinToo project Blast & Reconstruction, yes i need to start again with new ideas and better experience because the old days gone and every day you gain more experience and become more professional, did i ? the next days will tell .

Do You Have a problem with registration?

hello,

I downloaded Bintoo 2007 cd install.iso, and I put it on my usb key (1gb) after I reboot my compter, ask to the bios boot on my usb key, but It doesn't work!

I just want to know how to install bintoo cd install.iso without any cd, but by my usb key!
