USB Devices

I'm trying install bintoo using an external dvd drive, but after booting, it seems to stop at 'creating /dev'.
After talking to Mohamed in the Shout Box, I decided to try installing again but turn off my external hard drive.
It seems that during creating of /dev, it finds the external HD and stops responding.
I'm now at work so will have to try installing again Sunday or Monday.

Well I tried again and turning off the external hard drive but I got the same results as the original post.

Maybe it has something to do with the external cd/dvd also. I'll wait till I buy another internal cd/dvd drive.
